What a co-incidence today, I was out (as promised this weekend) in the car - Stopped at a garage for fuel (as normal) next to a FORD dealer and thought the reflection looked odd in their showroom window as my car has no stripes.
Blow me if there wasn't a 200 in the showroom (number 200 as it happens) - Turns out they are having an RS day tomorrow (Sunday).
It was the FORD dealer in Witham, Essex - He has maybe 15 FORD classics from the Heritage Center - I'm popping back tomorrow to test drive a RS Focus

My wife and I have been out on some drives over the past 3 or 4 Sunday's in our 200 replica, and I also popped along to the Kent kitcar show as mentioned on another post. It was nice and warm today so we took the 200 to the coast and my wife and I had an ice cream (any excuse really!) We had the satnav on and used the smaller B roads for our drive home, Great fun.
Cheers Mike... Yes they usually are quite reliable though the odd little things go wrong from time to time. The only show stoppers I had in the past were a fuel pump and another water hose but with the original hoses on the car after 14 years it's to be expected.
I'm trailoring it to my garage tomorrow.

Bought an rs200 last month, what a cracking machine and always wanted one ever since my early 20's and still can't believe i now own one, although my wife is a bit peed off that i bought it without telling her.
It's been out regularly. took for a long spin this sunday and i was grinning all the way up and down the local dual carriageway, when i got back and just as i was parking up in my drive something dropped out from below the car.
It looked like some sort of stabilising rod about 570mm long and 10mm thick with both threaded ends sheared off.
Having spoken to Derek Scarrow of DS Mtorsports who is very helpful and knows these cars inside out he knew exactly what it was, a selector rod for the 4wd shifter.
Quite relieved, as the 4wd shifter is something that would not be used on a road car and is locked in place for 4wd, phew.
Next time in goes in for a service i am going to get it replaced.
Will see what drops off next weekend?
