B200YOO is one of a handful of "works" RS200's and is one of the most famous given two famous drivers that piloted her, Stig Blomqvist Stig and Kalle Grundel.

When I first learnt of the car I checked some public data systems and found that it was recorded as bearing the chassis number of SFACXXBJ2CFE00014 which is wrong as we know that is the number for B200YEV. These things happened and may have been an error by the administrative team at Ford when they registered the car. The engine number shows the correct number though as FE000015 which gives a build date of December 1985 although (even there there is one zero too many).

The system goes on to say:-

Make: FORD
Model: RS 200 4WD
Transmission & fuel type: PETROL
Body type: SALOON
Engine no. FE000015
Colour: White
First Registered: 04/02/1986
Year of Manufacture: 1986

It goes on to say , "There are no plate change or colour change records associated with this car. This car is still registered to its first keeper." which of course would have been FORD.

My friend Chris Biewer and the fantastic website https://www.ewrc-results.com/carinfo/71 ... /?spz=3210 show the car competed in 1986 in four events, the first of which was only 10 days after being registered.

They are:-

14.2.1896 - International Swedish Rally - Kalle Grundel and Benny Melander
5.3.1986 - Rallye de Portugal - Vinho do Porto - Kalle Grundel and Benny Melander
28.3.1986 - Rothmans Circuit of Ireland - Kalle Grundel and Benny Melander
11.10.1986 - Audi Sport Rally 1986 - Stig Blomqvist and Bruno Berglund

You can hear Benny Melander's memories of his time in the Ford RS200's here viewtopic.php?f=280&t=1206

According to the FORD papers I inherited from Bob Howe I can see this car was sold to D Anderson from Sweden around December 1986 which is a couple of months after it's last event.

This is not a car I have ever seen in the flesh but I was sent a list of works cars taken from a photocopy of one of the original RS200 magazines, this car was listed there as being chassis #015 and in June 2004 I was in email conversation with the owner of #010 and they said they thought #015 was driven by Stig Blomqvist so this all marries up as it should.

A further FORD document dated 30/6/1989 confirms this car as being one destined for "Anderson D" as a LHD Rally Sweden - See the FAQ "How many were made ?" section for more info.

It can be seen in the video section and in August 2005 I found some images while surfing.

I thought for some time that this car might be residing at the Loheac Car Museum in France (hence the French flag against this car) and in 2021 this was confirmed.

On 7th Feb 2014 I read an article suggesting the car had recently sold at auction in France for $187,000.

I was told in January 2021 that the car was due to be offered for sale on 5th Feb 2021 by way of auction.

If you find out anything else about this car please drop me an email and I'll update the cars entry !
