Car #012 is quite an important one as it was the first prototype 2100cc Evolution car, as such it was destined to have the chassis number of 201 (as you can read elsewhere) but this never happened so it should, where ever it is, still be 012. Someone then sent me a photocopy of the original V5 document (Thanks, you know who you are)

A FORD document dated 30/6/1989 confirms this car as being one destined for Schanche M as a LHD Rally (E) Ford Norway - See the FAQ "How many were made ?" section for more info.

"Schanche M" refers to Martin Schanche a famour Norwegian Rallycross driver ...

A check on public data systems show that the full chassis number for this car was SFACXXBJ2FE00012, yet again this chassis number has an error as it is too short, what is missing here is a C after the BJ2 - This then shows the build date of December 1985.

The checks go on to say:-

Make: FORD
Model: RS 200 4WD
Transmission & fuel type: PETROL
Body type: COUPE
Engine no. FE00012
Colour: White
Engine capacity: 1803cc
First Registered: 17/4/1986
Year of Manufacture: 1986

You can see the engine size is still shown as 1803cc but I guess it was a working 1.8 that was taken apart to "EVO" and there is some more interesting info here as it shows it has 1 previous keeper with the last owner taking possession on 20/5/2000.

Jumping to 2003, I did find an auction at Bonhams listing the car as having sold on 11/7/2003 for £80,700 but I have no providence / VIN plate images to say that was or was not the actual car but it looked right.

I was then sent some images on 12/12/2003 of a car bearing the Norweigan index RH71020 and was told (by the sender who claimed to be the new owner) that it was in fact #012 but I have no proof of this as there were no images of the chassis number or anything and I also do not know when the images were taken.

On 19/1/2004 I was then told that the car had been sold to a collector in Switzerland and they asked for their details to be removed from the website, sadly I never heard from the new owner so not only do I not know if the car is genuine I have no idea who owns her which is a shame for such an important 200 :(

In November 2009 (AS) sent me a Norwegian car data check which shows the last Norwegian owner to have owned the car from 22/12/1999 and at that time he thought is was Vegar Joa.

If you find out anything else about this car please drop me an email and i'll update the cars entry, for now I shall show it was a Swiss flag as that's where we think it now is :)
