December 2014 - Model number 285 of the 400 was sold on Ebay this week by user alanrossuk2012 for £350 which seems a bargain.

The original Wooden Cars
I was just doing some research on Woodeye models of the RS200. My name is Ric Lee and I commissioned the production of 200 of these models for a Ford programme that we ran in 1989. I had all the dealer cars numbered from 201 to 400, reserving the numbers 1 - 200 for RS200 owners, so they could have their model number the same as their chassis number. I personally have the prototype model which is not numbered but hand dated 11/10/89 and model no. 127 (my old chassis number). From memory, I don't think any owners actually ordered one, so they're much rarer than you thought - only just over 202 ever made! So, if you have one numbered 201 - 400, it will have been a dealer award; if it's numbered between 1 - 200, other than 127, my memory serves me wrong and it will have been bought by a genuine RS200 owner. I also seem to recall that we ran another programme for Ford, before the RS200 one, using Woodeye Ford GT40s. I have 2/450 but can't find any other examples on the web; they are so beautiful and tactile, I got a Countach and a Cobra for my collection.

Great information Ric, thanks for sharing.
I've not seen one for sale for a long while now.
