Oaklands Park museum car show

Just got back from the Oaklands Park car show in Chelmsford Essex, which was organised by Simon Rudge.

It was a great showing of no less than seven RS200's, Geoff Page was showing everyone his new stand alone ecu and how it works with the engine running while we all gathered around him.

Jim was there with his rally car in all its glory, Justins car was looking great with its bigger wheels and lamp pod, The lovely "Ferrari" red car was getting many an admiring view.

I chatted to most owners but mainly with Steve Groves, Justin and Jim.

The "furthest travelled" car came from Holland!(on a trailer).

But most important of all was that twenty or so of the original RS200 build team were present!

I have taken plenty of photos which will be sent to Nikki to watermark and post.

Thanks Gary,

It was indeed a great day, there was none of that thumping load base music or spotty youths looking at the engine bay saying "I'd drop a cossie lump in it!" you know, like some of those other shows you seem to get.

Was a very pleasant day out with free entry and parking.

Wish I could have been there, it really sounds like THE RS200 event for the year... Mike do send me the pictures when you get a chance and I'll put them up in the thread.

Cheers,
Nikki

Mike : The "furthest travelled" car came from Holland!(on a trailer). The 010 came not from Holland but from Luxembourg

Whoops! appologies to NGT, Luxemberg not Holland, how could I have gotten that wrong! I've been there often enough!
Yves Number 10 car was also absolutely spotless and has that Lux reg number plate "86 200" which suits the car perfectly.

I should have also mentioned that Justin had two cars present as he also brought along his immaculate Mk1 twin cam Escort.

Nikki,

I had some probs downloading yje card on my camera, sorry for the delay, will try again Monday am.

I'm really sorry about this, but my camera and I are having some technical difficulties! There are about 24 worthwile shots that I cant seem to save or send.

My eldest daughter is going to try using her computer tommorrow.

Thanks
Mike
