Another forum user said he bid to 110 K and then he let go... I was wondering the same...tentenths wrote:Any idea how the undrivable Evo with reputed 700bhp did at Coys.
It had to have recent expenditure of £50k
RS200 wanted
You have to keep in mind that it is or was Coys that was auctioning the car and the real price make take some time to become known , if it wasnt bid to its reserve. Although the estimate said 110-130 so if someone did bid 110 then he must have been outbid otherwise he would have bought it.
That's right... He did say he was outbid.tentenths wrote:You have to keep in mind that it is or was Coys that was auctioning the car and the real price make take some time to become known , if it wasnt bid to its reserve. Lot 214 E773 MMM RS500 sold for £22k plus commission (15%), too much bling on itJustin Smith wrote:3pm is the kick off for the auction - It will be interesting to see what the RS's in general go for. There's an Escort Mk2 2000, 2 x RS500 Sierras and the RS200.
If it wasn't so damn far to drive it would have been good to go and watch.
Lot 213 E691 MMF RS500 £18K plus commission, bit tired around the edges and paintwork not great.
Lot 255 Escort Mexico £16,000 plus com.
Lot 258 Withdrawn, apparently mechanical probs.
Lot 201 RS200 8K plus comm. again looks better in photos, overspray, detailing etc.

Sold for a mere £95k which seems quite low, how does that compare with your ex carlos sainx one.
I went up for the the ex Juha Kankkunen Lancia, it reached 100k but didnt break whatever the reserve was .

The seller would only get just over £95k after commission, fees and transport are deducted.
A very poor return if you deduct the work carried out on the car. I would guess he lost a bundle .
The power output went against the car. Unless you are a fairly serious competition chap then its useless. It looked a nice car and it was an Evo. I thought it would do more.
Sold for £111 and someone bid £110. Doesnt feel right and I have my own thoughts.
