Hi All,
I've been a longtime RS200 fan since '87 when I first read about them in Autoweek. Someday I hope to own one.
I have several items that if there is interest from the board members I can scan and upload in PDF and WMV format at some point in the near future.
An original Ford Motorsport RS200 sales/promotional brochure printed in March 1987. 20 pages including front and back covers.
A (now grainy) VHS tape of Ford RS200 Promo from Pleasurable Developments, Inc / Bob Sutherland of about 20 minutes. My understanding is Bob and a partner were the main force in getting RS200's into the States after Group B was cancelled. Watched many times to get my 'fix' over the years.
Autoweek magazine cover/article from April 20, 1987 - Killer Bees Invade US - about the Group B cars and history and the efforts to get some imported into the US. Cover has picture of all wite RS200 in an industrial setting - euro plate D439PJN
Autoweek magazine cover/article from April 27, 1987 - Baja Blast - about an Autoweek editor running an RS200 in the La Carrera Classic II recreating the Mexican road races of the '50s. Talks about the event and background of the RS200 and efforts to bring them to the US.
If there is some interest, I'll devote some time to scan/convert and upload them. A bit of time may pass before I can complete it due to my travel schedule but I'll put them high on my list of things to do when home.
Let me know if they already exist on the site or a shout-out if they are desired.
RS200 Documentation and Video
Hi tf. Many thanks for your message and offer to share the material you have managed to collect over the years on the RS200. I think any material is welcome so the basic answer to your question would be yes.
Regarding the Video(s) if they are on VHS I would highly recommend that you convert them to a digital format reagrdless of weather you would share them or not, since - like you mentioned already - any magnetic recording will tend to decrease in quality over time.
If you are unsure how to post items let me, Suzi or Justin know and we can assist you in the posting.
Thanks again for your offer,
Klaus
