I'm looking for a cutaway drawing of the transmission (gearbox+central and front differentials).

I have trieed a number of possible search combinations in google, but without result. The only pictures that are indexed are from the whole casing. What I need is a cutaway or exploded view of the transmission, like the ones on http://www.awdwiki.com/en/ford+europe/

Can anyone help me?

Isn't there something like this in the big binder (Owner's manual)? I'll take a look for you when I get a chance.\

Just out of curiosity, what do you need the cutaway for ? :-)

No, there's only photos on how to disassembly and assembly the transmission, but you don't see how it is constructed inside...

There are some explosion views of the suspension, but not from the transmission.

Why I need it? Because I'm a 4x4 nerd... :)

I saw some images of the transfer gearbox on face tube or some other site. However, these did not show the internals of it, but made me think of this post again.

Still nobody out there who can show me the internal layout of gearbox and transfer case?

Secondly, the 3rd party xtrac transfer box, does it work the same way the xtrac system on let say Martin Schanches Escort did? With the lever adjusting torque from back to front? Or was it just a regular planetary gearbox with viscous coupling, like the ff gearbox?

Has someone taken photos while renovating their gearboxes?

Could you provide me with details or post photos on how the centre diff and VC are mounted between the gearbox and front diff and how they are connected to each other?
